Hey fellas,

I’m new here and I’ve searched forums but can’t find anything that addresses my current issue. I’ve got a 2019 1500 Laramie 4x4 that has a 3.5in rough country suspension lift on it. The drivers side outer tie rod boot tore, and so I went to replace it, but the tie rod end I took off has a thread collar that’s much shorter than oem replacements. This has led to multiple returns, inner tie rod replacements and still I have entirely too much outer tow with no adjustment. After cross referencing the original tie rod end I pulled off, I found out it is for a Toyota Tacoma… and I’m now officially at a loss for words and or next steps. I purchased replacements based off the part number and they blew (go figure) within 300 miles of installation. Has anyone ever had, or even heard of, this type of an issue? I purchased the truck this way, and have no way of determining if the outer were aftermarket or not based on the part alone. I’ve added pics of the original along with pics of the oem outer, pics of the Tacoma replacement outer and pics of the inner I pulled next to the replacement I installed along with the part number that was listed as a direct replacement for the original outer I pulled to begin with that lists for a Tacoma. Needing some help fellas.
