OPT7 Sidekick Running Board Light w/Warning or Ram

I just installed the OPT7 Sidekick Running Board Light w/Warning lights. Damn the are bright!!! well when I step on the brake there is a fast drop out of the OPT7 lights. When I let off the brake there is a prolonged light drop out. does anyone know if this is a Ram thing or a OPT7 thing? I have contacted OPT& but might not hear back from them till next week. I do have the tazer set to have drl set to turns i dont think it is an issue but will set that back to factory

figured out the issue with ZERO help from OPT7 I ran the sideboard lights from the trailer light plugs which use the turns to activate brake lights hence my issue. now to figure out how to run them from the normal turn wires without upsetting the computer. Hopefully JImmy007 knows of a solution

I'm not familiar with the OPT7 lights, but very familiar with 12v wiring. What trigger wires do you have with the OPT7 lights, what functions are you wanting to run?

I need to run the turn signals for the sidebars from the trucks turn signal wiring not the trailer wiring. im just concerned that the extra draw will be picked up by the computer and give me issues.

They won't be. I've installed some running board lights and tied direct into the turn signal trigger wire on the headlights, no issues. If you are concerned, you could always put a relay in. Use the signal wire just as the trigger wire for the relay. Relays draw very little MA's.
