I was under the impression that the oil life calculator considered type of use in addition to just mileage. My dealer said it’s a straight line mileage counter. What’s correct? I will be towing a smaller travel trailer and was hoping it would compensate for the extra load in calculations.

There is a thread on this topic. It is not a straight line mileage counter.

There is a thread on this topic. It is not a straight line mileage counter.

It calculates based on type of use. I recently towed my travel trailer to Florida and in 4000 miles it showed 50% remaining rather than 60% if it was straight mileage.

Mine was at 65% the first time I looked at it. It was 48% just a few Days ago.
