I have had my 2020 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel for 6 months and have put about 7,000 miles on it so far. My company is reassigning me next month and I will be gone for six months away from the truck. I am trying to figure out if I should get the oil change before I leave or wait until I return? Any thoughts........? Thanks!

Before would be better, less potential for acidic oil sitting in the engine.

I’d say before also , if for no other reason than to keep your warranty up to date .

Another vote for before - I do the same thing in my motorhome - keeps the impurities/etc. from sitting in the engine for a long period of time while not circulating.

As Fatherof3 mentioned, don't go past 12 month regardless of mileage to stay within warranty and keep that 5 year/60K warranty intact.
