How does the ORG get its 1" lift? Shocks absorbers? Springs? Hardware?
What do the Heavy Duty shocks do? Stiffer ride? Absorb harsher impacts?

Springs. I believe it has shocks tuned to the taller springs, but the lift comes from the springs.

Does anyone know how Ram achieves the 1 inch factory lift with the off road package?
