Recently installed a set of Mopar flat black side steps - Part #82215301AC. Noticed that the brackets seemed to have a little flex to them when weight is applied. Turns out the bracket was slightly pulling away from the body, below the lower two mounting points.

I ended up adding a couple 1/4" thick fender washers to the lower two brackets on each step, and it made the steps feel a lot more solid. Still has a slight amount of flex, but not nearly as much as before. Also replaced the serrated flanged nuts with prevailing torque to keep things secure.

Figured I'd share in case someone else is seeing the same thing. (y)

Awesome, I have the same side steps and I notice a little bit of flex as well...I will be doing this easy remedy this week, thanks for the tip (y).
