Oem LED truck SS3 fog kit

So it was brought to my attention that I never posted a write up on doing the OEM LED to SS3 fog converaion. stupid me! anyways here's the link to the full in depth review on switching your truck from LED to halogen to be able to run the SS3s.

OEM Part numbers needed for the swap:
Part number for the brackets: 68403915AA
Part number for the bezels: 68318117AB
Remember, the brackets come in pairs (RT/LT) and same goes for the bezels. The part number I linked for the bezels is for trucks with parking sensors (FYI).

the wiring is all the same, both halogen and led trucks are H11 plugs so no worries there! After you swap out your oem bezels and brackets, the wiring is all the same and it becomes a plug n play kit from there.

Now diode dynamics does make a plug n play kit for OEM LED trucks using 2 SSC2s (2 per side, toral of 4) but only in sport level output (unless you buy the lights seperately if you wanted to go with the pros, which i advise doing), but to me, the single SS3 looks better and will have much better output.

So.....is the SS3 pro DMV approved. Seems as if Virginia has an issues when you change out OEM lights with better lights and you FAIL inspections. It has happened to me three times on two different trucks/cars.

Yes it is, it is dot and sae approved (assuming you get the sae fog pattern) which is the only lense option available for the fog kit! Diode Dynamics stresses this heavily that it meets the SAE J583 requiremnts to be totaly legal!
