I just bought a basic 2024 1500 Bighorn with 5" screen. It has the basic back up camera in the tailgate handle. I take it my particular model truck does not have back up alerts? Is there an after market upgrade for this?

what do you mean "back up alerts"?
I think you are referring to rear park assist with the sensors in the bumper. They can be added, there is another thread about it right now. It's a separate system from the back up camera.
Opps. I mean a proximity alert so I don't get too close to say, my garage door. I don't see an option in the camera menu.

If you have the camera and are using the camera, what benefit does the audio provide? I would think the camera would be a better choice than sensors that go off when snowflakes pass it.
