No 6.4 for the 1500s

A sport truck would be cool but I’d like a bigger cube higher HP V8 option in a normal truck, not some stupid halo package that runs 80-90k.

Basically every argument against it he made in that article also would rule out bringing the 5.7 back but he did that anyways. I get his argument about a regular cab sport truck but not against the 6.4 as an option in the lineup. (Not to mention most of the trucks can’t even be optioned with the H/O 3.0 even if desired). And 6.4= no e torque.

Iirc someone did some towing tests when the GW came out in 5.7 and 6.4 flavor and the 6.4 massively outperformed the 5.7 in every metric.

So, since that’s not happening I guess my next truck will be a 6.4 3/4 ton once they get the new electrical architecture figured out.

I call BS, I have it on good authority that the 6.4 is going into the 1500

Kuniskis equated the choice between the standard-output turbo-six in the 1500 with 440 horsepower and the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 395 hp to the Pepsi Challenge. “Do you want old school technology?
You want the instantaneous torque, no turbo lag, and the great sound? Or do you want the high-tech fuel economy efficiency? Amazing torque,” Kuniskis quipped.

The high-output turbo-six with 550 hp simply out guns the 6.4-liter Hemi and “you don’t have a Pepsi challenge,” Kuniskis said. “Now you got this kind of weird …. Did I just do it because I could? Or was there really a market for it, or was I reading comments on YouTube?” he continued.

“That’s a much tougher equation than the 5.7,” Kuniskis said.

“Tell me where you put the 6.4 that makes sense. And I don’t mean ego.
I mean, just business sense. Tell me where to put the 6.4 in the current light duty lineup,” Kuniskis asked as if in front of a business class.

Lol, some peole just dont get it

And then the comments
I think the proper slot would be the Hemi enthusiast that wants 485 HP, no eTorque that is very failure prone and no highly stressed turbo motor.
I'd like to know exatly how the turbo engine is stressed.
