Hello all,
I drive a 2019 1500 limited with air ride.
I love the way my truck rides. I am no mechanic or really very interested in cars. I enjoy the outdoors and like to ski, hunt, shoot, fish. I have the stock 285//45/22 wheels and tires. I’d would really like to get more beef to my tires. I’d like to get the truck on the beach but I’m definitely a little worried doing it with this tire.i know Mickey Thompson makes a 285/55/22 but I have have heard some terrible reviews about them. And most of my driving is highway. I was thinking of maybe going to a 20” wheel with larger tire or keeping the 22” and lifting the truck. I’d really appreciate your suggestions.

Thank you

Welcome :)
The great tire debate! You'll get all kind of answers on that question!
Personally not a fan of huge wheels. I bought some TRX wheels which are 18s
Id go to at least 20s so you some kind of sidewall flex and grip
Truck looks great!

20's are a good move but 18's would be best and you can fit up to a 33" tall tire on stock air ride

so a 33x10.5 or 11.5 will work

u can easily raise the front with adjustable links on air ride also

Thank you for the info. I’ll be looking into this.

Haven't had it on a beach, but I've never had an issue going through some of our "sugar sand" trails with 22's and the Toyo's. That said, I'd still prefer 20's.
