So driving home last thursday, my uconnect popped up for a new update (something about assist and sos). asked what time to have this done. So I scheduled a time that the truck would be not used, like at 3 am. That was last thursday. Truck sat in my garage unused until today. This morning screen was completely black. Moved out of the garage and a half hour later screen was on, but said upgrade failed, contact dealer, error code 20. Took it to the dealer today where I sat for 2 hours before they told me it couldnt be fixed today because they were still downloading the software upgrade. has anybody else had this problem

Gotcha, I have a Laramie with the 12" as well. I have not had the same problem, but I believe others have when the battery gets too low during the update and the truck cancels it out. If you haven't already brought it into the dealer, or don't want to just yet, I'd try undoing the negative terminal on the battery for about a half hour and seeing if that helps you get the thing to reboot. You can also hold down the spots where the lowest, most outer icons would be on the screen to see if you can get to the service menu, but I doubt it'll respond.

its at the shop still. just got of the pho e and they said the tech was working on it. that it was locked.

another update. tech says uconnect radio is junk. on the pho e with chrysler to try and fix or put in a new radio. have had this truck sinve last june and this is the second major issue i have had, and with **** poor service from fca. first was a leaking front suspension with less yhan 1000 miles on the vehocle. now a $4000 stereo

so after 3 days of dealership jumping through hoops with FCA engineers, they finally "authorized" a new uconnect vehicle control system (radio). Now they cannot get any answers as to how long this will take. Called customer care at the beginning of this, but they are useless. on Friday they were escalating to their "parts specialist". but today thwy know nothing about it.

I had mine changed out. Took 2 days to get to the dealer once it was authorized.

Does your remote start/vehicle locate?etc work with the new radio? or has yours always worked?

Could be an update that never came through. I have not seen an update since the last one in November. Ive had 2 since owning. July and November. I saw in another thread people were posting their current software version and several are still behind on 20.12 the latest I am aware of is 20.16 I believe could be .18 I just cant remember off the top of my head.

Some people for one reason or another don't get the update either because they dismissed it or they just bought it or they weren't in a coverage area.

Due to the nature of Over-the-Air updates, delivery of the actual updates are performed in areas or regions around the country so as not to impact the performance of cellular towers; as such, some areas of the country will get the updates before others.

We do not have a schedule confirming which areas will receive it at any given time. The update is being sent. You should receive yours soon.

Your patience and understanding is appreciated.

To better assist, I would like more clarification on if you are experiencing any issues with your Uconnect?

Once this information is provided, I will be more than happy to further assist with your email in seeking further resolution

I have had my Limited since August of 18 and have not received an update

It has always worked but I had to pull the negative on the battery initially to get it to work??
