New truck: what is this?

I know this isn't a "safe space" and you'll probably begin mocking my ignorance eternally, but this was in the glove compartment. Some sort of plastic thing. Can someone shine some light on this? Thanks!

If you take off your tailgate you unplug a harness for camera/handle lock. This covers it.
