My 2020 1500 Laramie replaces a 1997 Dodge Dakota SLT. The Dakota was my daily driver from 1997-2009. Had a 1993 and 1999 Caravan along the way too.

Been thinking about replacing the Dakota for years, but it only had 160k miles and I wasn't hardly driving it anymore. Still, the paint was shot, the A/C leaked, and stuff was breaking on a regular basis so I finally pulled the trigger on:

2020 RAM 1500 Laramie Crew Cab 4x4 5.7L Hemi
Delmonico Red, black interior
Leather-trimmed buckets
Trailer Tow Group
Chrome Appearance Group (wife needed the side steps, I like the upscale chrome look)
Laramie Level 1
Rubber Floor Mats
Anti-Spin Diff
Uconnect 12" with Nav

She sure is pretty. Took some getting used to, being so much bigger than the Dakota. I started out looking at 2019 Big Horn models, but didn't care for the diesel and the Hemi I tried didn't have some features of the diesel, yadda yadda, yadda. Told the sales guy to go find me something more deluxe and he came back with this beauty. So glad I stepped up to the Laramie. The only thing I wish it had was power folding mirrors and prettier wheels.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations!!

Pls add your truck's vitals to your signature when you have a moment.
This makes it easier for other folks to help in case you have questions or concerns about your vehicle.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new truck, it certainly sounds like you needed an upgrade.

Thanks. I like colorful vehicles. My old Dakota was Jade Green Metallic and I have a couple blue BMWs (2008 Montego Blue 335i, 2019 Phytonic Blue X5). Considered a Hydro Blue truck, but that would have been too many blue vehicles, plus I'd probably have to order it since they are pretty rare on dealer lots. Originally looked at Maximum Steel and Granite Crystal, but there are so many grey vehicles on the road already. Wife wasn't interested in a red one until she saw the Delmonico.
