New Tires on Stock 20inch Wheels with Level

Hey All,

I've done a ton of research in these forums over the passed several months. This weekend I pulled the trigger and got the work done. Wanted to share the results for anyone else who might be on the fence about what set up to choose.

Level: Bilstein 5100 (#6, 2.2inch lift)
Tires; Nitto RG, 295/60/20
Black Lugs: McGard 64704

Any rear spacers? Just 5100s on front correct? I’m surprised #6 didn’t make you nose high based on most going #5. Awesome looking truck! Waiting for mine to arrive and am considering a similar setup but was thinking #5.

Yup, just the 5100s on the front. My rake was 2.25 so #6 (at 2.20) made it about level as you could get without going nose high. #5 (at 1.6 or 1.7) would have left about a half inch of rake but I think that would good as well. I've put a couple hundred miles on this weekend. In my opinion the Bilstein's are the way to go. It rides just as smooth as stock.

No spacers yet, I didn't want to do anything until I saw how the new tires looked and had a chance to measure it out. With the 295s, the front is noticeably outside the fender line and the rear is recessed so I will definitely need to get them. I'm thinking 1/4 in the front and 3/8 or 1/2 inch in the rear to make the stance even.

Am new to this 1. The 295s don’t rub correct? 2. What is rake? Ordered a 1500 Laramie going with a 2 inch level, in 18inch wheels trying to decide on 275/70/18 or 285 or 295 yours looks really nice

Rake is the height that the rear of you truck sits above the front. Rear is higher than the front so that the front doesn't ride high when you are towing or have payload.

295/60/20 (33.9 inch diameter, 11.6 width) fit with a 2inch level with no rubbing. I am not sure of the dimensions for tire options that are available on 18 inch wheels but you can go to www.tiresize.com to compare.

I have the 2” Mopar lift (for warranty reasons only). In the rear I swapped out the Mopar 2” block with a Daystar 1” block, and then used 0-1.5” Bilstein 5160 instead of Fox shocks. Rides great with the 35x12.5R20 BFG KO2 on OEM wheels. Zero rubbing, zero trimming.

Interesting. I’d expect more of a rake. Mine is silver so I wonder if it’ll be more visually pronounced on 6 with the color variation (putting on rebel wheels Thursday)

Truck looks great! Would you be able to snap a picture of the spacing between your inner tire and the upper control arm?

I have a concern about running 35x12.5 on OEM wheels, if they would rub the UCA/knuckle joint. Unless you're running wheel spacers?
