New RF HUB not recognizing new keyfobs

I recently ordered a new RF hub that came with 2 new transmitters for my 2019 Ram 1500. Turns out it does not have the same part number so I picked up another new hub from the dealer that has the same part number. The locksmith, who has experience programming new RF hubs on 5th gen rams, cannot get the truck to recognize the new fobs. Do the key fobs need to match part numbers to the RF hub?

They don't need to match part numbers. Did he get the security pin from the old hub? I'm not sure, but I think a new hub needs to be programmed by the dealer before it will work.

No, with the old hub installed he can't even get that far... I may have other issues going on aswell but I do know the RF hub is not functioning correctly(bad corrosion). Good to know I don't need different Fobs. Thanks.

Hey, just wanted to update this thread for anyone who may have this issue in the future. I had a local mobile company take a look at the truck(The Flasher Scope and Diagnostics). He was able to program the RFHM. He was also able to reprogram the old keyfob along with the new one. He said it is very important to follow Ram's procedure to program the RF hub. $290
