New power running boards - need help

I just installed a pair of OEM Ram power running boards on my 23 Bighorn 4x4. the install went well, and I got everything hooked up according to the instructions, but now with that done, the running boards open fully when the door is opened, but retract less than halfway. I havent had them flashed yet for unconnect, and don't see any obstructions that would stop them from folding up against the body. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. the picture is as far as they retract.
