Hi All,

Picked up a Limited in June. Really happy with it so far.

Just looking to see if anyone else has experienced the following issue ...

In the first two weeks I had a couple hard "clunks" coming from the driveline, like the tranny slipped and then re-engaged with a thud. Since then the issue has significantly diminished. I can still feel it (and so can my wife in the passenger seat) but it's much less noticeable.

Yesterday I realized it only occurs when coming out of eco mode, and with eco mode disabled the thud never occurs. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks,
jdanek

No. I can hear and sometimes feel the truck going into - and especially out of - MDS (i.e. ECO mode), but it’s not a ‘driveline clunk’ that I experience.

Echoing what Speedy said. No clunk whatsoever, and I only hear it now because I have an aftermarket exhaust, I never noticed before with stock muffler.

Use the +/- buttons on the steering wheel and NEVER experience that clunk/MDS again. (turns it off0
The most annoying feature on a RAM.

that's not a drive line clunk, its the MDS in the engine engaging/disengaging.

Try a silverado/sierra. Its MUCH WORSE (and you can't turn it off - - well without buying a $100 obd2 port disabler)

FYI,
I have a Limited.
I can not hear or feel MDS whatsoever. If the ECO light wasn't enabled I wouldn't know if MDS was active or not.

Same here (but a Rebel instead). This is my 2nd 2019 in the past few months also and in both trucks I wasn’t able to tell when MDS was active.

To those that can’t hear their MDS kick in, do you always drive with the radio on?

I can’t imagine that you never hear or feel it. Very noticeable to me. Same with 2 other RAMs that I test drove before buying this one. I do drive much of the time with the windows up and the radio off when driving with my wife. Guess I’m just the sensitive type or maybe it’s my light foot driving style.

For what its worth...I hear mine all the time.

You don't necessarily have to HEAR mds kick in......You can definitely FEEL IT.......

Nope. When I had the stock exhaust I never ever heard nor felt it.
