Hello, all. Long time reader, first time poster here. My late father worked for the late great Chrysler Corporation for almost 38 years so growing up we had every version of a Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge/Jeep. My favorite was the then new '96 Dodge Ram Reg Cab Sport he bought in the Summer of '95 as I turned 16; to be a spry 16 year old again with that 318 V8 doing burn outs at every stop light in town on the weekends! Fast forward almost 30 years and I'm the market for a new crew cab truck and feel that the Ram is objectively the best truck to satisfy our needs, I also look forward to honoring my pops by buying the first "Chrysler" product in my own name.
Thanks to reading this forum I've found that Mark Dodge has some exceptional deals on Rams that puts a $70K loaded 4x4 Laramie at just a bit over $60K which is my self imposed budget cap. While that loaded Laramie is a killer truck, I'm still thinking about my original plan of ordering a well equipped Big Horn Back Country Package Crew Cab. When I first started thinking about this in late 2022 I was able to build a Back Country for around $60K before rebates/discounts that included the 8.4" screen, parking sensors, trailer tow package, and premium lighting group (the LED headlights are a must have for me). Now, for a 2023 it seems that to get the premium lighting group you must select the Level B equipment group which includes the 12" screen and some other things. Also, the Granite Gray with black underside two tone does not show up as a color option for the Back Country. Does anyone know if this is a permanent change from the way you could order a 2022 or if might just be a website glitch since 2023s are still newly rolling out? Finally, is the Ram Box option available on the Back Country or is that a Laramie and up only option?
