Been a RAM owner since 2003 (first was a 1500, then 2500 CTD, now 3500 CTD DRW). Picked up the 3500 this past Sunday. Discovered the 5thgenrams.com forums late last night while doing 'research'....

I like to run my headlights while driving day or night (safety reasons). When I turn the -3500's headlights ON during daylight hours, the Uconnect 8.4" screen dims and is unreadable. Been searching the web, reading the manuals, and I still can't figure out how to keep the Uconnect screen and the screen in the instrument cluster bright enough to actually see it when I have my headlights in the ON position (i.e. not AUTO) and the sun's out...

Any suggestions or sharing a fix would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Don’t know about the 3500’s but the 1500 has a dash lighting adjustment on the lower dash to the left of the steering column. Turn it all the way up and your dash lights along with 8.4 screen will be bright all the time.

Welcome... as stated above the adjustment on the 1500's is to the left of the steering wheel but you might have more success with particulars of the 3500 at hdrams.com

To add on, to what everyone else has posted so far, to the right of the headlight control are two dials.
The left dial controls the ambient lighting inside the cab and the right one controls the instrument panel brightness.

If you move the right dial all the way up you should feel a click before it stops. That click lets you know the panel is in "parade lighting mode" (that is what my 300 owner's manual calls it). That should turn on the daytime instrument panel brightness level when the headlights are on.
