Hey, everyone. Car driver looking to move into the Ram truck world. I've driven a Camry for the last 14 years and am due for a new vehicle. I'm looking to get a truck for various reasons but tailgating is a big reason for it.

I've been looking at the Laramie for a long time but I'm adding so many upgrades to my build that I'm wondering if I should just switch to the Limited. I'm also not sure if I should get a 2024 or a 2025. I just went and looked at a 2024 Laramie (5.7 V8) today and I'm waiting for a 2025 to get on the lot so I can compare them side by side.

Any tips/advice/recommendations are welcome.

The biggest shock for first time truck buyers is how much more they are spending on fuel. Expect your fuel costs to nearly double.

If you take road trips through areas where there might be considerable distance between gas stations I would consider the 33 gallon tank an essential option. I take annual trips from St Louis to Texas then on to Arizona and there are several places where, with the small tank, if you miss a gas station you won't make it to the next.

I would also consider limited slip to be an essential option. My 2012 didn't have it and it was miserable to drive in stop and go traffic when raining without using 4x4.

Just figured I'd share. I ended up buying a 2024 Ram 1500 Limited on Thursday. I got what I believe to have been a good deal on it and it has everything I wanted minus one of the tow packages. I've been EXTREMELY happy with it so far.
