Brand new forum member, and very first post! As my screen name suggests, I’m not new to Rams, first was a 2009 Laramie, great truck, 135k miles when I sold it. Second was a 2017 Laramie Ecodiesel, which went away in an Ecodiesel fire almost a year ago. In January I bought a Limited 10 year anniversary edition. It’s an amazing truck, except perhaps for the uConnect issues. We particularly love the air suspension, which I never would have bought based on it‘s complexity, It now that we have it, we’re spoiled for life.

The only concern with the truck is the flakiness of the uConnect 5 12” system, particularly with Traffic and weather. It improved for a while with an update around May, but stopped working in July and hasn’t worked since. That’s about the time that the 6 month free subscriptions expired.

My question is whether the traffic for the Tom-Tom version of 2022 uConnect 5 requires a subscription. The uConnect website is vague, and my dealer is equally vague. Does anyone here know? I couldn’t find a real answer by searching here.

FWIW, we also have a Jeep Wrangler 4xe (awesome vehicle, btw) with a uConnect 5 that uses Sirius XM navigation and weather, and it is bulletproof.

You still have navigation, you have to pay for the fuel, traffic flow and so on.

The 4xe uses Uconnect 4c not Uconnect 5.
