Finally after a bit of a wait my Black Rhino wheels showed up. I needed a more aggressive a/t tire I wanted more sidewall, so i picked up 20x9.5” +12 offset black rihno “Shrapnel” wheels and paired them up with 275/55r20 Nitto Ridge Grappler LT’s.
The ride definitely has changed some but I gained exactly what I wanted.

Sweet wheels! I had Ridge Grapplers on my last truck... loved them! But never got to try them in the snow. How did the ride change?

They are a little stiffer but they were filled up to 41 psi and I had my oem at 38... easy fix. But the big thing is i went from the 285 to a 275 and I can feel a little more turning response in the wheel. Both very minor things.
As for snow, I’ve owned 35x12.5r17’s RG’s on my previous vehicle. I can say wow, they are good in snow. Only thing better was actual snow tires for sure.

Sweet Rubi! Looks like a blast. I gotta get me some RG’s! Your new RG’s are 8 ply? What you gonna do with the 22’s? E3416F21-ED47-49FE-BA54-53766778C00A.jpeg

Honestly I didn’t check the ply. Nice truck!

The 22’s... unsure right now beside sitting in the garage. I did take the tpms out of them.

LT rating so I bet they are 8 ply. I have been pondering trying to pick up or swap for some 22’s... but have the same concern you did. I really like the look of the 22’s, but they are not designed for any off road use or possibly even pot holes ha

I think I'm done with larger wheels and lower profile tires. With the number of potholes in this state, I prefer a bit more sidewall on my tires.

I hear you there... that’s why I went to 20’s. I would have done 18’s but I didn’t want to worry about the calipers being so close to the rim.

Nice looking wheels! I have RGs in 275/60 that are XL sizing (so not an LT size) to stay away from the heavier and possibly ride altering feel. Happy to hear you achieved your desired results!

Awesome. In the spring I’m picking up black rhino arsenal wheels with the same tires and same offset. Nice to see how the fitment is perfect on the +12
