Bern a Toyota guy and no issues with my 2000, 2008 and 2012. All over 230,000 miles. The new Ram looks so good. Thinking about making the switch. How’s the reliability of the Ram, how’s the warranty? Any help in this department.
Thinking if getting a 4x4 Laramie package with the southwest package also the ram boxes. Any other things I may need? What are things like the trailer package etc? Should I get the regular v8 or the e force v8? I just need help as I want to do it right one time. Thanks.

Same with the Toy but we kept ours, 09 taco. Ordered a 2020 Laramie 4x4 6'4" bed with everything but air suspension, MFT and Ram boxes (shoulda got a limited but dealer would not discount).

So far so good, truck has been flawless, not a daily driver only road trips to family and our other house but wow, nice to drive for those 12 hour days. With all the options eTorque was mandatory in 2020. 21 you may be able to get a non eTorque with a loaded truck not sure.

If you tow you will want the 3.92 gear (have 3.21, no towing and all highway). Warranty, have not used it yet, knock on brain housing group, but in line with all the other manufacturers. With all the electronics you may consider an extended warranty but dont purchase from the dealer, search the forum, lots of threads on extended warranties.

Either way you can't miss in my opinion, these trucks are luxury cars with a bed.

My last Ram, 12' 135k ,fluids, brake pads, battery. Never saw a dealer or mechanic for any unexpected issues or break downs. Never even threw so much as a code.

My new 20' has 6k. Not only will a Ram get your from point A to point B, it'll make you happy driving there.

Been a Yoda nut for many years.. Family has owned 30+ since 1970's with very little to zero issues on all of them.. But Tundra just didn't cut it for me in the looks dept. Jumped ship to first Domestic truck and I LOVE IT!!.. No issues so far but 18K miles is to young to tell for me as to whether or not I'll have issues.. But to be fair, these days it seems all manufactures have their fair share of issues. True some more than others..

What are the differences in choosing two packages, Laramie group 1 vs group 2?

1 year in 11,000 miles, minor interior issues (primarily leaking 3rd brake light), has been flawless mechanically

Basically the difference in the two packages is with Group 2 you get heated rear seats and navigation.

IF it doesn't already come with it, I would have to add the tech package. Those cameras are really handy in so many ways.

Buckev: In short, if a truck is needed for the transportation of goods, then it is better to take a Toyota, if for the transportation of passengers then Ram. Toyota is more reliable, because everything is simple there and there are leaf springs, but the Ram are much more comfortable.

As much as I love my Ram, and I would buy it again, Its not going to beat the reliability and cheap maintenance of a toyota.

I have a 2020 longhorn ecodiesel, 14 months 39k miles and its been to the dealer 4 times for a total of about 3 weeks. Engine valve cover oil leak, rear axle seal oil leak, front dash started popping up.
