Need to add some sidewall to the 20s, how much difference does 5 lbs of unsprung rotating mass make?

Got a good deal on some Atturo blade XTs and am up in the air. 295/60R20s or 275/65R20s. the 295s weigh 63 lbs. The 275s weigh 58 lbs. the rims weigh 38 lbs. The Jeep guy in me says that's nuts. What will my Hemi with 3:21 think

Ah. I'm also assuming snow as well? Pizza cutters are not great off road but since I have little experience with snow you should probably go with the width that handles snow the best.

I'm a Jeep guy and 63 lbs a tire is not nuts, but it is what the 37x12.5r17s I am running on my Gladiator weigh. On my Ram, the Recon 325/65R18's weigh about 71 lbs, but I went with 18" wheels for more sidewall because I off-road the truck. I also have 3.21's.

If it's a V8, you probably wouldn't notice much difference in performance, or at least I didn't, and I tow a 7,400lbs trailer often. If you are already considering aftermarket wheels, I suggest going with 18's.

Be careful, because not all 18's will fit because of the caliper.

You’ll be fine 3.92 would be better but 3.21 will do. It’s got a v8. Yeah may feel a but more sluggish and take a bit more foot to floor to get things rolling but just remind yourself its a truck not a racecar.

On the Jeep 35s were marginal with a 6 speed manual and 3.73s. I went to 4.88 before long and loved it. My old ram (2009) had 3.92s but I swear this new 8 spd trans pulls out pretty good, that's why I was wondering. I did decide to get aftermarket 20s instead of 18s but I will definitely put more sidewall on them. I would not go bigger than 17s on the Jeep. The Jeep guy in my says when you get 100 lbs total tire and rim you got to get it stopped when you get to the red light.

The 5th Gen transmission gearing was changed from the 4th Gen making the 3.21 not as noticeable from what I've heard. I'll be going 34/35 w/ 22's come Spring. Time will tell. I had 3.21 and 35's on my 14 and noticed them.
