Have a 2019 for about a year. Installed 3.5” RC lift kit on it. I hate the way it rides. Need the ground clearance so ill keep the kit. But need better suspension. Any suggestions? Will something as simple as Bilsteins be noticeable? I’m not that knowledgeable on the matter.

Have you ever had a lifted truck? Any lift kit will reduce ride quality. Its the nature of the beast with the stiffer shocks and springs required for the higher height

That's simply not true. Any cradle lift kit will still ride like stock. Bilstein 6100s and higher will ride better than stock, Any of the coilovers lifts (Fabtech, Fox, Icon, King) will ride better than stock.

The only kits that will suffer from what you are talking about are the 3.5" kits that use preload and top hat spacers. Also the Bilstein 5100 will ride stiffer as they still retain the stock spring and preload it.

Eibach makes a kit that includes struts and longer springs. Check with them and see if you can 3 or 3.5 with that setup. If you can reach 3 then add a 1/2 top spacer.

Respectfully disagree. I have had experience with Fox, Icon, and Kings and they all have created a stiffer ride than factory. There is a reason that after you spend 10k on a Carli setup with custom tuned Kings and you reach out and say the ride is much harsher than I was led to believe they tell you to drop the tire pressure down to 30 all around And that will help.

Now I personally prefer that stiffer ride because I don’t like the floaty big boat Cadillac ride these rigs come with. I like a stiffer more planted feel. Also your definition of better than stock ride is probably not what the OP is looking for because I would bet that he likes the plush factory ride and didn’t want to lose any of that. Plus coupled with I would assume some E or F rated tires and his ride will never be like factory.

Please don’t mislead the OP by telling him if he gets a different lift it will improve his ride because I believe he will still be disappointed in the ride quality. I have spent more than I care to admit on suspension systems over the years and all have sacrificed ride quality as compared to stock. Anyone who says otherwise is in denial.

I'm not the one misleading anyone. I've installed and run almost all the available suspensions systems on the particular truck he is referring to on customer's vehicles or my own truck. Not some catch all answer that this happens to every vehicle if you lift it. The reason why your shop told you to remove air pressure is 100% because of your tire rating. So, you disproved your own statement.
As a test ask anyone that is running Fox DSC coilovers with 35" tires set at 3. This feels identical to stock ride quality. Yes, you can make it even softer or adjust higher and feel more of the rebound. So, yes the OP can most definitely get a factory ride quality with lifts and larger tires.
