Hey yall so it was a really rainy day out here in Los Angeles and I drove through a stream of water as high as the front grille didn’t have a problem driving all day after the next day my coolant temp kept overheating going as high as 258 so I stopped driving it found a leak in the radiator replaced the radiator no more leaks but it keeps overheating just changed the water pump but it still overheats I’m guessing the thermostat although I did the water boiling test and it opened up I’m guessing it’s not that accurate any ideas what it could be please super frustrating thank you for taking the time to read my post

Just a crazy guess…but since you drove through that much water, is there any chance… that either the cooling fan either got disconnected OR the cooling fan motor shorted out?
Or..by replacing the radiator, it wasn’t hooked back up correctly?

I don’t mean to sound like a jerk, so please, no offense.
I thought about air in the system as well.
But anyone that can replace a radiator AND a water pump, I would think…knows how to burp out the system.
Anything could happen, it was my first thought as well…

Haha I’m guessing it’s the thermostat or air in the coolant thank yall but bleeding/burping coolant is new to me I appreciate yall time just to make sure is it just leaving the radiator cap off and running your engine on while blowing the heater ac my car is already full of coolant

Heater on, or off, doesn't matter. There is always coolant flowing through heater core. Anyone that says to turn heater on didn't know what they are talking about

Update thank you all gentle men realized the small hose by the radiator cap was not connected when I reinstalled the radiator bought a bleeding funnel and added coolant changed my thermostat heater works and cars works perfectly again I appreciate you all for the help and I mean it because my truck helps me run by business bless you all and I wish you much success and health
