I've been looking at getting a 1500 for some time now. I went to 2 dealerships, one had a truck that is what I am looking for and then some, the other said they couldn't find anything with my specs within 500 miles(I think they really wanted me to buy something off the lot or order)

My minimum is a Laramie 4x4, 5.7, 6'4" bed, 3.92, anti-spin, level 1 equip, trailer tow(brake controller at the least)
We're looking at only 4 colors and the hardest part...would really like to have the bench seat.

The local truck I found has MSRP of 55,600, their sale price is 49,377 then 4200 in rebates. The extras are the 20" wheels and the 12" screen
I was hoping to be at 40k, it seems with the options I would want on a big Horn the Laramie is the way to go as it ends up being not much more the way I configured it.

The 2nd dealer configured a truck and it's MSRP was 53,110. I did snap a picture of the order sheet before I left.
Are there any notable changes between 2019 and 2020 that might be worth ordering for?

I do get a preferred pricing through my employer and am unsure of what that price is compared to the other prices listed on the order sheet and the asking price from the 1st dealer.

Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes a 200 plane ticket and some drive time can save you thousands. My 19 HD ended up saving me 9,500 by going out of state.

Get what you love even if it costs a little more and you’ll be happy with how much you save and how long you keep the truck in return.

For a HD that's really good. Yes, the hardest part is the bench...just not all that common

Maybe find a dealer in the nation that has great prices. Use those prices to negotiate a build. Order what ya love and use current inventory to gauge what you like.

First new truck, I wouldn’t sacrifice much.

Yea, I'm thinking this local truck will be the one I get if I can get them down in price a bit.
I also still have the preferred pricing kickback that the dealer would get back from Chrysler through my employer.(or atleast that is how I had one salesman explain it to me)

Make sure you do your research and know what you're getting. The tow package deletes the 360-degree camera view. A lot of people found this out the hard way.

100% agree with NordicNews--don't settle for less than exactly what you want, and don't be afraid to travel to get it.

All those high dollar options would be nice but not in the budget for the truck this time around. Intentions are just a basic Laramie pretty much.

I love my almost bare bone Laramie. Less tech to worry down the road. Things I missed I added myself later on.

Bingo. Running boards, air bags, bed liner (got the bed liner thrown in on the deal without paying for the ram factory up charge). I optioned for things that didn’t want to live without. 3500 vs 2500, trailer tow tech, high output motor, things like that. I like the aftermarket air bag options more than the integrated system as well. Seeing some folks having issues at least with performance of the air bags in the HD line up (squat, lift or leveling kits etc).

Bottom line there are things you can certainly keep off the list for financial and cost savings that you can add later and can arguably be better for you overall than what’s OEM.

Don't get the Tow Package unless you REALLY need the tow mirrors. If you get the Tow Package it eliminates the 360 camera, even if you have an equipment package that includes it. You can get the trailer brake as a separate add on for less, and you'll retain the surround cameras.

I learned that one the hard way...

Well, got the dealer to add a discount for the affiliate kickback.

Laramie Crew. The MSRP is $55,600 net price for the truck is $44,666. My total OTD is 48,592.
I'd say I'm pretty happy at 80% under MSRP(their price pretty much matches a new build quote from DD...without the 10-12 week wait)
Any thoughts if I should try and get some accessories thrown in or atleast a discount maybe?

Picking the truck up tomorrow evening. Getting the drop in bedliner and wheel well liners from the dealer.
Weathertech floor mats, mud flaps and bug deflector will arrive tomorrow. Gator tri-fold should be here next week. I'm stoked to get the truck and get her cleaned up and tinted to reject all the IR heat.
