I need some general advice on how to proceed. I bought a '25 Limited back in May and was doing alright with it until the dash lit up in warnings one night. I had warnings about ABS, 4WD, Brake, Stability Control, and Traction Control. I brought it to the dealership and they ruled in a faulty ABS module which was on back order so I had to wait a couple weeks. Module came in and was replaced but it didn't resolve the issue.

A Star Case was then opened and I was told engineers were looking at it. After many days, I was told the truck was ready to pick up. I asked what the solution ended up being and I was told they didn't actually do anything. On a whim they hooked up and there were no more codes so that means everything is working.

I wasn't even half way home and the brake light came on and the Infotainment had a screen-wide message telling me something was wrong with the brakes and I should call for help. The vehicle has now been towed back to a different dealership.

If I subtract the time that I had the truck back waiting for an ABS module, it's been out of service for 52 days and counting. I've contacted FCA Customer Retention asking for a buyback or at the very least a different Ram of similar options and I have been told to jump in a lake. I'm at a loss here because I even made my peace with the fact I was going to take a bath and wanted to trade it off on something else but now I'm boxed in a corner. I can't work a deal on a truck that has serious issues and FCA won't put me in anything else. I've all but begged them to please just give me a different truck so I can get on with life but the best they can do is a small cash payment if I promise not to sue them.

I would really prefer not to go to a litigation path so do I have any other options here?

I went through this. Call RAM cares and open a case. When they assign you an account rep, call and email them to explain your situation. Tell them explicitly you want a new vehicle or buyback. Ask them to make two payments for you as the truck has been in the shop almost 60 days. You will need to call and email every 48 hours and eventually they will give in and process the buy back.

My outcome was two payments refunded and then wrote me a check for $10K to cover the depreciation of my truck. So I sold my truck back to the dealer, took a $10K loss over what I paid and then bought a new truck. So glad that is behind me now.

Good luck!
