Picked my 2020 Limited 1500 a few days ago. Beautiful truck. One of my quandaries is my driveway slopes to the street and I back up the driveway (from my law enforcement days). The tailgate will not lower when the button on the fob or in the cab is pressed. The tailgate unlocks but just stays there and does not even attempt to lower. When parked on a relatively level surface there is no problem, the tailgate lowers as programmed. Is this slope issue "normal"? Would appreciate knowing the experience of others. Thanks in advance. I have attached a photo of the truck parked in the driveway.

I haven’t tried the situation you describe, but sounds normal since the tailgate relies on gravity to fall down.... there is no mechanism that pushes it down.

flynfish - Thanks for your insight. You are most likely correct. Gravity has a difficult time pushing uphill. I had incorrectly thought that there was a mechanism to push the tailgate open, am wrong again. Cheers.
