More U connect questions

My 12" U connect 4 screen goes black about 20x a day, but will light up when I turn the headlight switch from Auto or On to "OFF." Last summer it told me I was 50 miles from my actual location and crossing a large river where there is no bridge. That location problem seems to have fixed itself and it has not happened since. Using "Find" a location or "Go To" nearest gas station works about 1/3 the time. It will not go to addresses that It used to go to. Says it is offline. Is that a subscription problem? Can I fix these problems myself or should I go to the dealer? I updated the maps with a USB stick about 2 months ago. It did not help at all with the black screen or the offline issue with the GPS function.

I love the air ride suspension, the quiet cab and the Ramboxes. If the U connect issue can't be fixed, I will look at other brands.

That sounds like your dimmer switch is having issues . Does your dash go dim at the same time ?
As for the GPS , mine searches offline all the time and I’ve never had an issue with it . I’ve been surprised by it getting me extremely close to addresses that were built after my truck was built .

Yes, my dash also goes dim.
This pickup has taken us to Seaside in the past. Now it cant.
