I have the Mopar hard foldable cover. I am not happy with it. It doesn’t have a tight seal, particularly at the tailgate, and it leaks. I took it back and asked if it could be readjusted to give a better seal. I was told that it could not be.

I would not buy that one again.

Most of the tri folds have small degrees of leakage by the tailgate. I have the BAK MX4 and it leaks slightly, but not to a degree where I worry about it.

I believe the Mopar cover is basically the BakFlip MX4. I had the same tailgate leaking problem with mine. I adjusted the cover back towards the tailgate (so it overlapped the tailgate more) and it really helped with the leaking. Also, it did not seem to adversely effect the seal or leakage on the front of the bed. Hope this helps.

any tonneau that doesn't cover a lot of the top of the tailgate will leak. The way the tailgate is designed you can see into the bed through the gap in the tailgate.

I'm actually starting to become more of a tri-fold convert. I had a Tuxport roll-up on my 16 Rebel and loved the tight seal and ease of use.

But since spending some time adjusting the latch layout on my Mopar soft tri-fold, I've been impressed with it's seal and overall performance and would recommend it to anyone looking for a soft tri-fold factory installed solution. Buyer beware, you will need to spend some time to perfect it's fit and function.

The tailgate gap is awful,it is 1” wide, sealing is temporary but installing a solid piece of material to within 1/4” gap would help. Geppers you can easily see in before to break in the way it now. A piece of 1” X 6” along the gate using rubber gasket works for now only. Very poor QA.

Temp. Fix to keep the weather out. Tucked weather seal under tailgate access cover to hold in place.
