I will be installing the the Mopar lift in a week or so, in my driveway, on jack stands.

For those of you that have installed the kit yourself, in your driveway (no hydraulic vehicle lifts). Do you have any tips for the installation?

Do you really need to remove the rear fender liners to get at the nuts for the shocks or can you do it without removing them?

Did you use any power tools or did you just use a good old manual tools for everything? I do have an electric impact gun and impact sockets if needed, probably more so for the spring compressor.

So I assume you need 4 jack stands, 2 to lift the rear end and 2 to support the rear axle.

I know that you need to torque anything with a bushing after the vehicle is on the ground and I guess the rest of the bolts can be torque while the vehicle is in the air.

Anyhow any tips that you guys have that may make it easier or quicker would be appreciated. I‘m fully capable of performing all of the work I just want to some tips that you may have after install or during that would make it easier.

Roughly how long did it take to install the kit from the ground?

Any surprises during the install?

Thanks

Pretty informative video on dismantle and reassemble pretty much the same as the Mopar I guess with the addiction of removing the UCA and reinstalling the new one and swapping out the springs for the ORP set.

Do you really need the pass-thru sockets or can this be done with normal everyday sockets? Otherwise I will need go buy a set. Also can the bearing nut come off by a regular socket or do you really need the pass thru socket and 8mm wrench to get it apart? I never needed to use these types of sockets on other vehicles.

Do you need the fast wrenches to get the 3 nuts from the strut assembly or did you not have issues with a regular wrench or socket set? I don’t have any fast wrench’s and if I don’t need to buy them I wont.

So anyone use special tools or just regular sockets and wrenches to do the job?

Sorry, I don't have your answer; but I'm following because I'm getting ready to do the same soon. I rebuilt an entire front suspension on a 2003 RAM 4x4 in my driveway; so I'm sure I can handle this lift kit. However, useful tips are always appreciated.

All great questions I hope you get answers for. I would also like to know what people are using for spring compressors on the struts as well as the ball hoint separator for the upper arm. I will be doing this lift on my 2020 in the not to distant future.
