Modifying steering wheel radio control action?

I have a 2019 Laramie 1500 with 8.4 Uconnect 4C Nav.

The left-side upper/lower radio controls on the back of the steering wheel do a seek when listening to the Radio, but I'd like them to traverse to the next/previous preset instead. Radio station seek is pretty much useless for me as I know what stations I listen to (hence presets).

Does anyone know if this can be done with something like AlphaOBD?

I never listen to regular radio, so haven't tried this but would think pressing the middle of the steering wheel control would go to next preset. It does in SiriusXM.

Yes, the middle button does go to the next preset, but to then get back to a previous preset you have to cycle through all of them first. If the up/down buttons actually controlled preset selection with both Radio or Sirius you can much more easily get to your preferred station without taking hands off the steering wheel.

It's certainly first-world problems, but for me would be of much more value than the currently valueless seek action.

I just tried the "Talk" function the other day with the button on the front of the steering wheel to change to a different preset, and BAM!, went right to it. I was impressed. I said something like "Go to preset 7". This was while listening to Sirius. Try it with the radio and let us know if it works.

My routine is click the left wheel button 5 times then tap the first station with my right hand on the touchscreen. Or just mash the steering button 6 times fast. I don’t have 12 stations that I actually like

or, press the up or down button just once on the back of the wheel, then hit the middle preset button and it will select your first preset station so that you do not have to cycle through all 12
