Modifying factory wheels

My Laramie Sport with offroad package came with chrome 20" wheels. They have plastic inserts. I'm wondering if anyone has taken them out. Was thinking of powdercoating the wheel black and either leaving the inserts chrome or painting them body color.

It’s kind of funny that they pair chrome wheels with an off road pkg. I’m guessing they figure it will all wash off if you decide to test your off road capabilities? Either way that’s a great question about the inserts.

I thought the same thing. I also ended up with chrome mirrors as well.

Plus you have tow mirrors to boot. I definitely have to say that is a unique pkg you’ve got going there.
