I just bought a used 2019 Big Horn. The window sticker says it is equipped with Keyless Entry N Go, however my driver/front passenger door handles do not have the button on them (see photo) and the passive entry function does not work. Also, not sure how much stock I can put in this, the current handles do not match the handles shown on the truck when I search my VIN on the Mopar app. Similarly, the tow mirrors I have are the chrome-capped ones but on the Mopar app they are the black version. What’s the most likely explanation - the previous owner really liked chrome and switched out the tow mirrors and passive entry handles for chrome ones that do not have the passive entry functionality? If that’s the case, should I regain that functionality if I just re-install passive entry handles?

Welcome! No Big Horn 5th gens have passive entry. You only have 'Keyless Go' (pushbutton start). I made the same mistaken assumption when I got my '20. Passive entry starts at the Laramie trim. You can add it to your truck with new handles, some wiring, and AlfaOBD trickery. There's a big thread here somewhere about doing it.

I did quite a bit of searching about it before I posted to hopefully make sure I didn’t make a duplicate post. Here’s a photo of what is shown on the window sticker - “Keyless Enter ‘n Go with push-button start” which according to the quick start guide is the passive entry function, no?

Regardless, Big Horns didn't have passive entry standard or optional. Technically the window sticker isn't wrong. You CAN enter your truck keylessly...

Newer window stickers have changed the description (probably to reduce complaints from people who felt misled).20211214_220221.jpg

A Laramie sticker more clearly spells it out. Notice neither one calls it 'keyless entry 'n go' anymore:

You can always add it! I did it on my BH and it's great.

I was mainly just trying to figure out if the truck was supposed to have it and the original owner changed something that disabled it. It would be convenient to have though. Did you follow the steps someone posted here on the forum?

Yes. It very detailed.

Do the 2022 Laramie come standard with the proximity keyless entry? Something I totally forgot about when I ordered mine
