Messages Button Unavailable with iPhone Xs

2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn 12" Uconnect. After pairing my iPhone Xs, I try to access my messages and it tells me that the phone paired isn't compatible. Anyone have this issue or know how to fix it? I go to the phone by pressing on the phone icon at the bottom, try to choose messages

Did you do this:
iPhone Notification Settings
1 — Select “Settings”
2 — Select “Bluetooth”
3 — Select The (i) For The Paired Vehicle
4 — Turn On “Show Notifications”

I did not... Totally forgot about that. I will try it shortly and report back. Thank you for reminding me about that setting. duh.
