I have a 2019 ram 1500 classic that dropped a lifter and chewed up the cam. I ordered new non mds cam and lifters also I put the mds block off plugs in. my question is what do i need to do with the timing and where do i get the mds turned off at?
I believe it has vvt timing so i have read that it needs to be locked out. is there a way to drive the truck without spending the money on the tuner right now? would it run if I pushed the tow haul button every time i started it
You can still use vvt with mds locked out. Removing VVT would actually cost you power and drivability unless you're installing a huge cam like 230-250+ @.050's
