Hello Guys,

i serviced my 2019 Limited, so I changed fluids in Axles and also transfer case. I always open fill plug first. In this case there was runing a lot of fluid out of the trans case while opening the plug.
I was wandering and thinking about it. I was needet to drive the truck, so I completed service and drive. But still wondering. My Idear is a major leak between transmission and transfer case. Do both of them have a shaft seal?
Is that possible anyway? Can I find a simple way to check the fluid level on my transmission?

I have never heard of a transmission leaking into the T-case or vice versa.
Just to check the fluid level in the transmission, have the truck level, warm the transmission to between 30°C and 50°C, use the temperature gauge in the EVIC, it is pretty accurate.
Remove the fill plug (don`t burn your arm on the exhaust pipe) and let excess fluid drain out.
If no fluid dripping or at the bottom of the fill hole then the transmission could be low on fluid.
There is a step by step procedure if you are doing a refill after trans. service.
Transfer case drain and refill is straight forward, drain and fill to the bottom of the fill plug opening.
