Hi, I have a 2020 Ram 2500 with the 6.4 and 4.10 gears. About 1,300 miles on it now. Got it jan 20th. I just put some 305/70r17 tires on without the tpms and I seem to get a hesitation or lurching occasionally. Do you think it’s a coincidence or does the trans have to learn the new tire size? I was going to get a taser or alpha obd later to get rid of the tire pressure light and adjust for tire size but don’t have the money for it now. Any ideas? If this is in the wrong thread let me know, I’m new.

2 things: First, if the lurching happens in the lower gears at lower speeds, it means you're lugging the engine. If that's the case, on flat ground at highway speeds it won't do it. It probably will also be less prone to do it in any speed in tow/haul mode. If this turns out to be the case after some experimenting, you caused the problem by jumping up too big on tire sizes. Reprogramming tire size should put the shift points back where they should be. As an aside, you ABS and such will also be affected by changing tire sizes.
Second: you might feel more at home on http://hdrams.com since they deal with the big boys. This site is for the DT 1500s.

Thank you for the information. And yea it is at lower speeds. Stocks were about 33s and I only went up to about a 34 so I though it was weird. Thanks again for the info and I’ll try out the Hdrams.com
Thanks-
Vinny
