Lower Grille

I’ve found that the lower grille on the diesels is open where on my tradesman is solid. Any reason other than added airflow? Wouldn’t we all benefit from that?

I haven't looked at one, but I assume it's for the intercooler that our gas engines don't have.

Too much cooling is actually bad. Diesels are the only one to require it.
