Well I decided to pull the trigger on getting a 2021 Limited after having the 2020 Longhorn for 18 months and 37,000 miles later. I had some good experience and some bad. Let’s hope this one is better.

What was bad? That is quite a few miles in 18 months.

Well... the ride experience was great. The motor lived up to its expectations BUT here are some few problems that I ran across. For some odd reason the “leather” on my steering wheel started to peel off. Real bad. While reversing, the breaks would start to make a horrible sound after 3k miles. There was also the constant ticking sound coming from behind the radio. Which was annoying especially when having clients riding with me.

I will try to describe the next problem but before coming to a complete stop the transmission would kick into another gear. You can hear the transmission making a knocking sound which created the truck to jerk forward.

But the worse thing that I in counter was an issue inside the truck bed. I don’t haul anything heavy or large besides small items and my yeti cooler so I don’t know how this happen. One day while cleaning my truck I notice something I have never seen. Apparently, the the back panel of the bed (the one behind the cab) was de attached from the floor bed. That’s right the panel and floor bed were no longer attached. I had a huge gap between both the floor bed and the back panel.

while inspecting the bed, I can see the integrity of the “welds”. Yeah.... either the machines making the assembly or the people did not make those welds properly. The dealership declined to fix the issue after sending pictures and description to Ram. They said Ram would not fix the problem. After being persistent to Ram, they decided to fix the issue. During that time, I went to another dealership and traded the junk in.

There were other little issues too. Every time I would the truck to dealership, they could not replicate the issue therefore they could not fix the problem. Crazy enough I always had video with audio to present.

So there it is

As far as the miles goes, yes but mostly highway miles. I did not abuse my truck nor did I notify it. Just wanted something nice and durable.
