I'm researching what lift/level to do on my truck and have noticed a few folks have a Limited with air ride and they are equipped with the ORG which add the additional 1" to the front.

My question is how is this accomplished at the factory ? Different links ? Spacers on the airbags ?

I can't imagine that the truck is reprogrammed to run in OR1 all the time to accomplish this as the ride quality suffers.....

Anyone know ? Thanks in advance.

This has been extensively discussed in past threads, but it’s just programming. All trucks with air suspensions have 4” of adjustment. Trucks with the ORG are programmed to sit 1” higher than others when set to Normal. As a result, these trucks only have one “Off Road” mode (like the Rebel) instead of OR1 and OR2.

Very interesting..... I've driven around town in OR1 and the ride can be pretty harsh compared to the same stretch of road in 'normal'. Hard to believe that's all it is.... I've read elsewhere that the links accomplish the same thing but the ride sucks as well. I've talked to some shops in my area (Bay Area) and there's not a lot of experience with the links and daystar spacers like others have done.

Is there a programmer out there or will the dealership program the additional 1" for those of us without the ORG ?

Thanks for the reply....

One member stated that they had their dealer reprogram theirs, but you’d have to dig up that thread. Not sure who it was.

Your truck looks like it might be on 22"s? That could be the difference. I've got a Limited with ORG, and the ride in "normal" is in no way harsh.

Good to know thanks. I'm looking at getting rid of the 22's.... unfortunately we are 'limited' in our leveling options and I want a little more tire and height. From what I've read there is no 2" lift/level for the air ride that doesn't involve messing with links and not intended for air ride spacers.
