I finally started my lighting upgrade project. I swapped out my halogen fog lights for Lasfit LED lights. I haven't had a change to drive around but I'm happy with the results based on light output at my house.

Part II of the project will be to upgrade the low and high beams. I may also change to the OEM Black front light assembly.
Part III will be to install OEM LED tail lights.

Looks good, but may I ask why you started with the fog lights? Logic would say start with the ones used all the time, i.e. low and high beams

I started with the fog lights because I hadn't made a decision as to either keeping the original headlight assemblies or changing them. So to "test" the Lasfit LED lights out, I decided to just replace the fog lights. It was a low cost test. Since I decided to change the headlights out to use the OEM black headlight assemblies instead of using aftermarket LED headlights assemblies), they will be next purchase (along with the Lasfit high and low beam LEDs).... Yes, it is kind of backwards logic...

Hey, whatever works for you, was just curious

I swapped out the low, highs and fogs on mine with Lasfit LED' s too. So far, really happy with them.

How much you pay the stock LED tail lights? I broke one unfortunately

I've seen the OEM LED tail lights for around $470 (sometimes a little less). I just need to get the correct Mopar part numbers because I don't have the cross path detection on my Ram.

Phase II done!

Installed the OEM Black headlight assembles fitted with Lasfit Low and High beam LED light bulbs.

Very nice, I will be following for updates. I want to upgrade mine as well and don't necessarily want to swap entire housing

Did the same, both fog and headlights fitted with lastfit bulbs. Replaced front chrome headlights with night edition halogen assemblies (amazon) and rear halogen taillight assemblies replaced with led assemblies (ebay) programed with alfa-obd2. Decided to make a few more changes with the bulbs on the truck.

Next, I'll replace the bulbs for the high mount brake light and cargo lights and then a few in the interior. The project continues...

Now we are cousins, lol. You will need to program the rear taillights as I did with alfa OBD2 for them to function correctly if not done already. Look good!

The 2019+ rams are less picky about LEDs but, there’s something going on that you probably would never notice. Right now, with your new LED tails, when you apply the brakes AND use a turn signal, they are flashing red-amber-red-amber. This is because the brake lamp and turn signal LEDs are on the same board, and the brake lamp isn’t dropping out for the turn signal. The proper behavior when the brakes are applied and turn signal on is amber-off-amber-off.
So, you at least need to use AlfaOBD to change CBC Config I/O Usage: Separated Lighting Brake Lamp Dropout to yes. Since you have to do that, you might as well change the rear lighting settings to LED.

Yes, if you currently have incandescent tail lights, you’ll need to make these changes:
CBC Features: LED Reverse Lamps Present- YES
CBC Features: LED Stop Lamps Present- YES
CBC Features: LED Rear Turn Lamps Present- YES
CBC Features: LED Tail Lamps Present- YES
CBC Config I/O Usage: Separated Lighting Brake Lamp Dropout- YES

Did you change the settings in Alpha Obd from incandescent to Leds? Im doing all the lights in the front using Lasfit ,i was going to change the settings in Alpha obd but not sure if i have to. I put Leds inside the cab already.

If only changing bulbs no change required, when changing to (Led light assemblies) alfa obd changes are required because they operate off a circuit board within the assembly. You simply tell the vehicle you have a Led assembly so it knows how to behave.

Ok cool.im going to change all the front bulbs to LED with Lasfits ,High ,low ,turn ,fog and side marker.

Thanks for the information with the Alpha Obd to make the LED tail lights act correctly. Looks like I have another step to do...
Things needed.
Alfa OBD program ... can be put on your phone or computer if you want.

Security bypass cable...

A bluetooth connector to the obd2 connector, I used this one it's pricey but you can program keys and do a lot of things with it...
https://www.amazon.com/OBDLink-Bluetooth-Professional-Grade-Diagnostic-Performance/dp/B07JFRFJG6/ref=sr_1_2?crid=36XYQJ6VRW05W&keywords=obdmx+&qid=1677623418&sprefix=obdmx,aps,162&sr=8-2

here is how you connect it....

and watch this guy, how to operate it, log and save settings from the beginning... back up to google drive FIRST!. This way if you change something by mistake you can go back to the beginning, you have the exact setup as me I believe! Its easy you will see!

I only needed to program my rear led light assemblies, the front halogen and fog lights are lastfit led bulbs, any questions just ask, alfaobd has a lot.... I only did the lights until I get time to learn the system, take pictures, and backup to google drive.

One more thing....., before you do anything test your lights first. Use a stick between the brake and seat (brake applied) while in (Park) and operate the turn signal; for me I used a 20 year old club steering wheel lock I had between the seat and brake pedal.... you will see that it flashes red-amber, red amber using the turn signal with brakes applied (incorrect). After you make the changes with alfa obd it should flash amber only when the brake is applied. This way you will see how the lights functioned before you made the changes and how they operate after the changes were made.
