I'm having issues with my 2019 ram 1500. i have a rough country 6" lift with 20X10 wheel 37X12.5X20 tires. I've been blowing out CV axles at a ridiculous rate ( 3 sets in under 3000 miles at $1600 USD). I've had a shop replace the stock CV axles with track motive long/extended CV axles and I'm told the CV shafts are designed to work with the lift. I do carry weight in the back of the truck day in day out as its a work truck, so it does have a slight rake and i do tow some light weight trailers from time to time. I'm curious to know if its a possibility that the lift+ weight/rake is causing the CV axles ( on both sides) to pop out and if a set of airbags might be the fix potentially?
Any further input on other potential issues that would be causing the CV axles to pop out and knock/clunk while driving would be appreciated as well. I'm not a vehicle mechanic by any means so diagnoses is difficult without throwing another boatload of cash at it.
thanks!
