someone have this set up in a 1500, 2019+ w air ride ? /
2.5 front leveling kit , with Revel performance lifting link (front only) (or any other brand ) . tell me how it works. Thanks.
Here’s what I’ve compiled to do the whole thing without getting taken to the cleaners or you can even do it yourself . I did! Torque wrench and good notes on wrench size and torque spec. Daystar part # KC09113BK This is the kit. It requires the links as a combo so I assume that’s why they...
This thread has everything you need to know. I am getting ready to install the DayStar portion of the lift. Already have the front links and some 285/55R22 Ridge Grapplers on the truck. Looks great. Don't have pictures saved to the computer, but will post from my phone.
Fitment with just the links was good. A little rub in full lock reverse...nothing a little (and I mean very little) trimming of the inner fender liner wouldn't solve.
Ride quality definitely went down when I only had the links. I have since installed the DayStar spacers and some upper control arms. I sit at 41" ground to wheel well front and rear now.
Looks awesome bud! And thanks for that. I'm not wanting to ruin the ride quality, it's what I love about the limited the most. Rides like my Mercedes-Benz E400! I know it's been beaten to death, but do you think I could run 33x12.5 R22's without any lift or level?
Not sure on that. The width is what I would worry about there. I know people are running 305/40R22 or 305/45R22...can't remember which size it is, but those are about 12" wide and had heard of minor rub in entry/exit at full lock in reverse. It truly only rubs on a very small part of the wheel well liner though. I'll try to get a picture of where mine rub today.
If you don't want to lose the ride quality then slap the Daystar spacers on there and you're good to go. The spacers made all the difference. Plus I don't use the offroad settings aside from for looks when parked. The Daystars are only $100...I got mine from Amazon Warehouse deal for $60. Then install was $300 with install. Not bad to have a level and do it as close to right as possible. Of course tires are the real expense.
