Sure, lots of people have added LED backup lights. Use search and you should many threads on it. A lot of people use the trailer harness to power them.

I did LED bolt lights. Definitely brightened it up, clean look, and doesn't interfere with the tailgate.

Finished, these are the Rigid Ignite diffused. Made a big difference! Really would like to see how you mount those on bumper in daylight. Thanks.
