Late 5.7 Hemi has no EGR required

Posting this 12 min YouTube on a n experienced Chrysler tech's opinions so far on the new Hurricane. In it he stated that due to the VVT (variable valve timing), the 5.7 does not require EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) to meet EPA standards. I never knew that before, and suspect that most here did not know either. I thought that EVERY gas engine had used that for decades. I do not know if there are harmful impacts on EGR with a gas engine, but I know it is a virtual death sentence for newer diesels! Here is that link..................
