Hi all. Just joined and love all the info. Put a dashcam in my new ‘24 limited. Finding one with the RamBox and 4 corner air with a V8 was tough. Had a ‘18 Bighorn classic with the RamBox and 4 corner air and wouldn’t drive anything else. Smoother ride than when I had Avalanches. One of my first jobs was detailing new vehicles when they came into the Mopar dealer back in ‘69. Daytonas, Road Runners, Super Birds. All the old muscle cars. And big V8’s. First car was a 413 cross ram in a ‘63 Chrysler 300 ragtop. But I digress. The dashcam install went smooth with the Dongar dongle and some YouTube videos. Just waiting for the BackFlip tonneau cover to finish it up. Thanks for all the info posted here. It came in handy.

Just joined as well and have been reading through a bunch of the posts. Lots of good info. Bought my first Ram a couple days ago. 24 Laramie night edition. Had one hell of a time finding night edition in granite crystal exterior. But I wasn’t going to buy anything else, so had to travel to get it. Really wanted a long bed but no dice.

My last truck was a 2008 Tacoma that I bought new and put 251k miles on. Never a single issue other than routine maintenance. The 24 Ram is a huge upgrade to my Taco and I’m freakin stoked about it. I hope I get the same long life and reliability from it too.

Welcome, the GCM/Night combo is one of the best looking out there, congrats!

After I bought the 24 limited and traded my loaded 18 Bighorn in, I went online to see what they were charging for it. It was gone on day two. I should have asked more for it. Only had 59,000 miles on it. Hemi, Rambox, Bakflip, 4 corner air suspension, 4X4, Sun/Moon roof, running boards. But love the new one. Vented seats in the south are great!

It happens. I've found that it's best not to even know what happens with vehicles I trade in LOL. It's time to move on and really enjoy your new truck. :)

Nostalgia often causes people to perceive old stuff is better than new stuff but reality is often the exact opposite. My first car was a 70 Barracuda with stock 383 magnum and the 2019 V6 Chevy Impala I sold last year would blow it away every day as would many common modern day 4 door V6 sedans. Today's stock V6 Toyota Camay will beat a 70 Hemi Cuda in the 1/4 mile.

Boy you are right todays cars make more power I road in a TRX what a blast and back in my days it was hard to make that kind of power.

I’m still getting used to the new one. With 8 way seats and 4 way lumbar, it took a while to get it just right. The new air suspension system is better than the old one. The aero mode is selectable where the old one required at least 62 mph to kick in. The off road 1 and 2 are taller than the old one too. Didn’t need stop/start but didn’t have a choice. It came with the hemi. 3.92 rear end will help with the rv plus the electric assist at acceleration. Still finding stuff. Now to run to South Padre to see Dad and check out the long ride comfort. 900 miles one shot. Then next summer a run to Canadien border country of MN. 1500 miles one way.

We also sold Willis Jeeps and Amphicars. One of them are still cruising on the lake up north.

Cool. Going to take a nice little run up to the NHRA world finals next Saturday.
I know the owner of the Amphicar and he drove it 43 miles by water up the lake into the National Park. Rangers had kittens when they saw a car pull up on the beach. Snowmobiles and ATVs are banned but they didn’t know what to do with him. Two friends ran their snowmobiles there, on the water, and were arrested as soon as they hit land. We drove our trucks all over in the winter because it was international waters and not under park jurisdiction. Gotta be careful driving on the ice.
