I took delivery of a new 2019 1500 Laramie Longhorn today. The truck was shipped to me so the salesman didn't give me a checkout. One of the key fobs had what looks like a spare battery in a grey plastic shell attached. I've had 3 other Rams and never seen this. I can't find any mention in the owners manual.

Any body know what this is?

I believe what your describing is something that is used at some dealerships for key organization/security. Pic?

Yep, like james said. Very large dealerships need a way of keeping track of their inventory so that's a system they use. My truck was aquired from a very large dealer 300 miles away from my local dealer and when it arrived I had the same thing, my dealer had no clue what it was because they're much smaller and don't use a system like that. Someone just forgot to remove it, I threw mine away.
