I'm new to this keyless system and have a few questions.

I don't have Ram boxes so other than unlocking the drivers door what is the purpose of the emergency key? Can you start the engine if your key fob battery is dead or non-functional?

When getting your auto serviced do you just give the shop the key fob?

Is there a service mode (travel limit) to protect from theft when the auto is in the shop?

Is the SENTRY KEY Immobilizer system just a engine immobilizer that is deactivated when your key fob is within a certain distance?

Thanks in advance

The key let's you unlock the vehicle and that's it. If the battery is dead on the FOB, you can start the vehicle by placing the FOB next to the start button. At least I think that's how it works according to the manual.

Yes, you give the FOB to the shop when servicing the vehicle just like you world if you had keys.

No travel limit.
